Maddy, our Betta Fish

So I finally sat down today to figure out what the heck could be this huge bulge on the side of our pet betta fish. After only a tiny bit of searching I have diagnosed him as having Dropsy (and am hoping I diagnosed him wrong). You can kind of see it in this photo. Basically he has a bacteria that causes kidney failure and then death. Poor thing! I didn't realize this till after I bought the antibiotic that says it works for Dropsy. We'll see how it goes. There may be a fishie-funeral in our backyard in the near future.
