Just in case you wanted an update on Miss E and her "serum sickness"......after being on the oral steroid for 5 days, she looked great! Symptom free!...which we assumed would happen. But only to awaken on Thursday morning with hives again. UGH! And double-ugh because we had just told the allergist the day before that she had no hives and was doing great. She woke with even more hives this morning and these are now itchy! So loaded up on antihistamines...she's off to school and we'll see what the allergist says now! Never a dull moment! ;)
UPDATE:
The allergist has put her back on the Orapred for 5 days. *sigh*
UPDATE 11-21-08:
E finished her last dose of Orapred on Tuesday night and we have seen maybe one hive since. We are keeping our fingers crossed that the hives are gone and her body is over the "serum sickness!"
