We've been fighting a bad bug here in our home. No, not an insect but the nasty ole flu bug. Poor M has been wiped out by this virus. And the kicker is that, yes, we did get the flu shot last fall. He must have gotten a different strain. He started with a temperature of 103 last Sunday night which lasted for 48 hours straight and then a fever of 101-102 off and on since then. Poor thing missed this entire week of school. Today has been a pretty good day though...I am thinking the bug is now gone! YIPEE! Though, he is now coughing on and off and has been wheezing. I am hoping he doesn't get pneumonia as well. We shall see...
Saturday UPDATE:
M's fever is gone now but he has been wheezing off and on the past few days. We went back into see the pediatrician today to make sure there was no development of bronchitis, pneumonia, etc. We got the all-clear! He said he thinks we are on the tail-end of the illness and he should be good for school on Monday! YIPPE!
