Yesterday morning I ended up taking E back to the pediatrician for the third time this week. She had complained the entire day before that her tummy hurt so badly even when she took a sip of water. She didn't want to sit up at all because it made her stomach hurt and she was so lethargic the whole day. When I pressed gently on her tummy she jerked back which kinda freaked me out. So we went in to ease my mind that is was nothing more than an upset tummy. Basically the doctor said he thought we were on the tail end of the virus. He said her liver and spleen are not enlarged and listened to her bowels and said that he doesn't believe there is any blockage. He said she could eat a little bit of some low fat foods (nothing greasy). And at the doctor's office she had perked up a bit. So off we went. She did well the whole day...had a muffin in the morning, a couple, white powdered donuts (not the best choce, but Hey!)in the afternoon and then some fruit cocktail at dinner. And she had no fever, was a bit more perky and took a nap in the afternoon too. Well wouldn't you know it at 9:30 she throws up!!! UGH!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought we were on done with that! It had been over 48 hours since the last time she vomited. UGH!!!!! So once again today we are on "throw-up watch"....and we are so hoping we are done with this virus and that she can go to school tomorrow!!!!! We shall have to see what the day unfolds.......our fingers are crossed!

OMG...poor thing! So sorry you guys are dealing with all that funk. Can she drink milk? I know it sounds yucky when you are dealing with an upset stomach, but if she is willing to drink it, it really does help with nausea and will cut down all the acid in her stomach. That was the only thing that helped me with morning sickness. People say I'm nuts but that's what my OB told me to try and it really works. But you have to like milk to begin with and many people don't. Don't let her drink a lot until you know how she does with it, but it is worth a try.
