So tonight, just before bedtime, Daddy and M went outside to put a small bowl of water to see if there would be ice in it in the morning since we are supposed to freeze tonight. So, they went out the front door, (unbeknownst to them, stepped over a snake) put the water on the sidewalk, stepped back inside still NOT knowing they were stepping OVER a yellow rat snake till M shouted, "SNAKE! SNAKE!!" Mark looked back and sure enough it was a snake! They closed the door very fast and thankfully he didn't try to take up residence with us (plus I don't think he was moving to swiftly in the cold weather to make inside in time). He is, however, trying to soak up any hot air that might be seeping out from under our front door! Go away snake!!! Mark continues to tell me that he is good to have around...however, I'd rather that fact not be known to me!!!!!!!
